Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 9 June 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between LogYou App ("we", "us", "our") and you, the customer ("you", "your"), governing your use of the LogYou.app website, mobile app and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

LogYou.app is a cloud-based compliance tool for hospitality businesses, including food safety, fire safety, risk assessment, alcohol training and refusal records, multi-site management and reporting. Features and modules may change as we improve the Service.

3. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 to create an account and have authority to bind your business.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You must not share accounts between users — each member of staff needs their own log-in.

4. Free trial, subscription & billing

  • New sites get a 7-day free trial. No card required to start; we may ask for payment details before billing begins.
  • After the trial, the Service is charged on a per-site basis at the rates shown on our website (currently £10/month or £100/year per site). Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice; existing pre-paid terms run to their end at the original price.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges until you cancel.
  • VAT is applied as required by law and shown at checkout.
  • You can cancel at any time from your billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — we do not refund partial periods unless required by law.
  • If a payment fails we will retry and notify you. Continued non-payment may result in suspension or cancellation of the affected sites.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable food-safety, fire-safety, licensing, employment or data-protection law.
  • Upload viruses, malware or other harmful code, or attempt to disrupt the Service.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited communications or harvest user data.
  • Resell, sublicense or white-label the Service without our prior written permission.
  • Upload personal data you do not have the legal right to process.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section.

6. Your records and content

You retain all rights to the data and content you put into the Service ("Customer Content"). You grant us a limited licence to host, process and display the Customer Content as needed to provide the Service and as set out in our Data Processing Agreement.

You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of Customer Content. The Service is a record-keeping tool — it does not replace your statutory duty to operate a safe and compliant business.

7. Availability & support

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out planned maintenance and will give reasonable notice where it would affect availability.

Email support is available at hello@logyou.app. Priority support is included with yearly plans.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, branding, design and documentation, is owned by LogYou App or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any IP rights to you, other than a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your subscription.

9. Confidentiality

Each party will keep the other's confidential information confidential and only use it to perform its obligations under these Terms. This does not apply to information that is or becomes public through no fault of the recipient, or that must be disclosed by law.

10. Warranty disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Statutory rights for consumers are not affected.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability under or in connection with these Terms in any 12-month period is limited to the fees paid by you to us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill or loss of data beyond restoration from our most recent backup.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any third-party claims arising from your Customer Content, your breach of these Terms or your unlawful use of the Service.

13. Termination

  • You may cancel at any time from your billing portal.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for material breach of these Terms or non-payment.
  • On termination, you can export your records for 30 days. After that we may delete Customer Content, subject to legal retention requirements.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-app. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, save that we may bring proceedings in your local jurisdiction to enforce payment.
